Langmuir Films
I’ve been involved in an effort to model and simulate the dynamics of phase-domains in Langmuir films. We also compare the observed dynamics to the predictions of the simulation; by doing so, we are able to make very accurate measurements of the inter-phase line tension. A fuller explanation of this research, along with many pretty pictures, is on Andrew Bernoff’s website.
