Winter’s Haven

I generally don’t spend much time following the propaganda and misinformation put forth by creationists, and PZ’s recent post nicely illustrates why I don’t: this stuff is surreal. It’s positively sickening to witness people so full of hate and fear that they invent vile, baseless slanders against their opponents and then go on to believe their own lies. I don’t think it’s safe for me to wade too far into this stuff without an intellectual hazmat suit.

After reading PZ’s post, I really need fresh breath of saner, more reality-based thinking. I’m now turning off the computer and heading to the library to check out Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
